Facilty Operations Specialist

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and serves as the Facility Operations Specialist for 51st FSS at Osan AB. For overseas positions, qualified applicants with military spouse preference and family member preference receive hiring priority over other applicants.


Develops, updates, and rigorously tracks the squadron's Long Range Capital Improvement Plan, monitoring all long-term projects involving capital investment. Maintains comprehensive situational awareness of all CES projects containing FSS equity, meticulously tracking timelines from the initial design phase through and final construction. Synchronizes efforts and maintains continuous communication with CORs and PMs overseeing these projects to ensure FSS interests are represented and milestones are met. Serves as a facility manager while acting as the de facto lead facility manager for the squadron, assisting leadership in identifying, training, and ensuring an adequate number of facility managers are assigned to sustain continuous operations. Represents the FSS at all relevant meetings, design charrettes, and planning discussions pertaining to projects that affect squadron facilities and operations. Assists in the preparation of complex funding request packages, including the BCIF and SRM submissions. Coordinates FSS involvement in base cleanup events and serves as the primary liaison with HAZWASTE and HAZMAT managers for the squadron.
