Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Founded in 2023, Etium Capital is a New York–based private equity firm focused on lower middle-market buy-and-build opportunities within resilient, service-based industries. In September 2023, Etium launched Velocity Automotive, which is now a 23+ unit Meineke platform and top-three franchisee in the system, recognized by Driven Brands as 2024 Multi-Unit Operator of the Year. By investing in strong management teams, best-in-class technology, and proven operational processes, Velocity Automotive has achieved consistent double-digit organic growth across its portfolio. Now in 2025, with a newly committed pool of capital, Etium is pursuing additional majority-control acquisitions. Target sectors include towing, automotive, residential & commercial services, health & wellness and food & beverage. The name Etium is a derivation of the suffix of the Latin word for “of the thing growing,” symbolizing the firm’s focus on continual growth. Etium Capital is now launching its next venture: acquiring and consolidating towing companies across the Carolinas and Virginia as well as adjacent markets as we scale. This initiative will generate revenue through a diversified mix of roadside assistance, private property owners, impound services, storage fees, and recurring contracts with insurers, municipalities, and other commercial organizations. By building a rigorous M&A engine, Etium Capital will achieve market density, seize market share from competition, and become the provider of choice for its customers.

Position Summary

The CEO will lead Etium Capital’s towing consolidation strategy, driving aggressive growth, operational excellence, and contract acquisition. Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for setting and executing strategy, managing P&L performance, integrating acquisitions, and building a scalable organization that delivers consistent results across multiple markets.

The ideal candidate will combine business development acumen with financial discipline, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to inspire both frontline employees and senior executives.

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute a growth strategy for towing company acquisitions and consolidation.
  • Establish KPIs and operational frameworks to ensure efficiency, accountability, and profitability.
  • Develop and mentor key leaders to fuel continued expansion.

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure recurring revenue contracts with insurers, municipalities, and commercial fleets.
  • Expand revenue streams through direct service fees, roadside assistance, impound, and storage services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Operational Excellence & P&L Management

  • Full ownership of P&L performance, ensuring revenue growth, margin improvement, and disciplined cost management across locations.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to align with investor expectations.
  • Drive operational integration of acquired companies, harmonizing processes, systems, and culture.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations while maximizing efficiency.

Culture & Team Building

  • Recruit, develop, and inspire high-performing teams across diverse geographies.
  • Communicate effectively with a workforce ranging from hourly employees to senior executives.
  • Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and achievement — instilling a “get it done” mentality.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record as a senior leader in service-based, contract-driven industries (automotive, logistics, fleet management, or related sectors preferred).
  • Strong business development mindset with demonstrated success in revenue growth, contract acquisition, and relationship management.
  • Deep expertise in P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience integrating acquisitions and scaling multi-location businesses.
  • Ability to connect with and motivate frontline hourly workers while driving strategic initiatives at the executive level.
  • High-achiever with relentless drive, urgency, and execution capability.
  • Top tier MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Why This Opportunity Is Compelling

  • Essential industry: Recurring demand, nondiscretionary service, limited to no substitutes.
  • Fragmented market: ~40k operators, mostly small, ideal for disciplined consolidation.
  • Platform upside: Significant value creation through acquisitions, fleet upgrades, pricing discipline, and operational uplift.
  • Direct impact: CEO shapes the operating system, culture, and long-term platform architecture.
  • Aligned sponsor: Etium has a strong track record scaling multi-unit service operators from small bases into institutional platforms, with deep operating knowledge across automotive and adjacent services.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary + Bonus: $300 - $400K
  • Equity participation

Location: Preferred within NC and VA anchor region. Candidates based in key markets across our broader expansion corridor in South Carolina, Georgia, and Eastern Tennessee will also be considered.
